I'm Nicole, the person behind the screen that brings HV Dog Co. to life! We started our online venture as 'Hunter Custom Equine & Canine' but moved on and evolved into what we are today as HV Dog Co. - dedicated to the furry family members we share our homes with.
I've been involved with Alaskan Malamutes since 2000, and love the tough, enduring nature of the breed. 2020 brings big changes to the HV Dog Co. household, with the addition of a German Shorthair Pointer - our adventures are about to morph into a whole new level of crazy!
My husband, Daniel, shares a love of all of our animals, and I cannot thank him enough for supporting me through all my crazy ideas and dreams - I couldn't do it without him!
All of my products are personally selected, and handmade here in my little farmhouse studio in the Hunter Valley of NSW. With horses grazing outside my window, a Malamute at my feet and a cat sitting on everything that I happen to need and demanding attention, I couldn't think of any better way to spend my time.
As with most, I value quality, comfort and style with a need for proper form and function. I struggled to find what I wanted in the big box stores so started to design and make my own gear. It's really something that I enjoyed creating in my spare time. Suddenly, due to a management restructure my permanent employment was no longer available, I naturally turned back to putting my time and effort into my creations inside my little studio, and turned it into a full time gig.
"Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life"
Our Goal is to leave behind the 'cheap and disposable' lifestyle that seemingly dominates the world. We strive to do our part for a greener future, create long lasting quality products and pay it forward. All of our 'not perfect' products are gifted to local rescues, all offcuts are repurposed, most scraps are compostable and we try to reduce our by-products as much as possible.
HV Dog Co. have trialed the products we provide, so you can rest assured knowing your gear will get you through. So go on, hit the trail with your 4 legged companion on your next grand adventure and enjoy everything nature has to show you!
